Pete’s career started as a journalist for the BBC, where he produced news radio programs for millions of listeners. He found his way to the Bay Area via a graduate degree at Stanford, where he learned how to match data and insights with his interests in telling stories and delighting audiences. For the last two and a half years he’s been working at Automattic, home to WordPress.com, where he built and leads the Growth & Analytics team, which uses data and qualitative insights to improve engagement with WordPress users.

He’s a British expat living in Northern California with wife Maggie, son Charlie, and dog, Darcy.
