I’ve been messing around with an iOS Web App and I figured I should share a few gotchas (using iOS 8.3) that may hopefully save someone else some time one day…

Audio only plays if the ringer is on

Yup for reasons that are completely beyond me, if the ringer is off, audio just doesn’t play. In Safari sound works fine, but not the Web App mode.

You can view the browser console using Desktop Safari’s Developer menu

This is super cool and helpful. You can also refresh the code without opening/closing the app.
